Madi’s Dallas Guide
Hey girl, I thought to myself…man, what would it be like to come to Dallas in your situation? You have such a unique story and unique context. I can imagine there are SO many things to consider. I wanted to give you some random stuff to maybe make a few things a little easier to navigate. I realize a website seems super custom, lol, but it’s actually just the easiest place for me to put all these links in the same spot. I hope even one of these is helpful to you. ❤️
Hair.
My hair is the most high maintenance thing about me. It’s taken me AGES to find my “person.” My absolute favorite stylists in Dallas are all at Charlie & Co. Though I have a ton of friends who go to Osgood O’Neil as well. My favorite stylist at Charlie & Co is Carley—she is brunette too, so I feel like she just really “gets” long brunette hair. And she is an extension expert (not sure if that applies to you or not). But you might consider going to Charlie himself—I believe he does JoJo’s hair. (Click on links in this paragraph to be taken to their pages & instagram accounts.)
Nails.
A good nail artist is hard to come by. If you are looking for a tried and true option that’s pretty economical, a go-to spot in Dallas is MiniLuxe. But some people like finding their person. And it all depends on what you’re going for. If you like true nail art, Irene is the best of the best in DFW. (That’s her work in the picture.) If you’re looking for non-toxic/organic, then I highly recommend Adore.
Coffee.
Whew. Where to begin? The Dallas coffee scene is really top notch (thankfully). And it all depends on kind of what vibe you’re going for.
Halcyon — hip, trendy, cool part of town, amazing coffee, good food, lots of places to sit
Royal Blue Grocery — high end, phenomenal coffee, great meeting place, kinda fancy, high fashion
Village Baking Co — the CUTEST bakery and the NICEST humans ever. Run by believers. Top notch everything.
Houndstooth — tucked away, more private, less of a seen & be seen vibe, ideal for coffee snobs
LaLaLand Kind Cafe — (pictured), light and airy, cheerful vibes, great coffee, yummy food as well (esp everything avocado toast)
Workouts.
All time favorite is Treadbarre (pictured). A little expensive but WORTH IT. Here’s a blog post about it: CLICK. Also has smaller class sizes, so helps with privacy. Other really good ones are Ritual One Yoga, Corepower Yoga (has a few locations), Sculpthouse, and of course Soul Cycle.
Brunch.
This isn’t the case with all cities, but it definitely is in Dallas. People LOVE to brunch. I actually think Brighton Butler did a really great brunch spot list on her blog a couple years ago, so I’m going to link that HERE. (PS. I’m friends with Brighton, so if you would like to connect with a fellow influencer who loves the Lord and is striving to balance influencing and faith, she is an amazing connection. LMK if you want me to introduce y’all.) There are a couple of new hot spots that aren’t on the list, so I’ll like them here:
Le Bilboquet — this is probably the hottest brunch spot at the moment. I feel like everyone’s having their birthday brunch here. It’s beautiful, elegant, delicious, and rather high society.
The Henry — in the heart of uptown, this spot is also a huge favorite. It’s designed really well with a great vibe. Incredible menu, and great drinks.
Well, that’s what I have for now. Will be happy to build out further or give more recs that are relevant to your needs! I’m sure you have a ton of friends who can help you out too, but I try to keep my ear to the ground and wanted to share my intel. LMK if you need anything! Xoxo, C
(ESPECIALLY if you want one on CHURCHES. Would be more than happy to give you a run-down of what’s around if you don’t have a church home yet. 💕)
